1. Our Charity for the Year
We haven't selected a specific charity this year. Instead we are supporting local museums.
2. Funds Raised
2018: £155.54 for Royal British Legion
2017: £395 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance
2016: £279.36 for Royal British Legion
2015: £526 for Royal British Legion
We also raised £100 from the sale of home-made memorial poppies which were displayed at Bratton 2015; we donated these funds to Roy to help him achieve his RBL fundraising target
2014: £250 for Help for Heroes
3. Charities We Have Supported
WILTSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE:
“Wiltshire Air Ambulance was established in March 1990 as a joint venture between the Wiltshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Wiltshire Constabulary. Sharing resources kept our costs down and the charity needed £700,000 a year to keep Wiltshire’s air ambulance in the skies. In January 2015 we started operating a dedicated air ambulance which means we must raise £3.25m a year.
We are a registered charity and rely almost entirely on public donations to keep us flying and do not receive any central government funding. We really are funded by you and flying for you.”
ROYAL BRITISH LEGION:
“The Royal British Legion helps the whole Armed Forces community through welfare, comradeship and representation as well as being the Nation’s custodian of Remembrance. We help serving members of the Armed Forces, ex-Service men and women (veterans), their families and dependents all year-round.”
HELP FOR HEROES:
"Help for Heroes supports those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces. No matter when someone served, we believe that those prepared to put their lives second, deserve a second chance at life.
Every course and activity we offer aims to empower them to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society."
